Creating users and assigning access levels

Wiredrive lets you create an unlimited number of users in your system and set unique permission levels to control who can access which files. You can assign colleagues to specific projects, empower sales reps to create and send presentations, and even let your clients log in and review only the work you want them to see. Creating and managing users is simple.

Creating a user - Projects

  1. Select Users > New User from the main menu
  2. Enter the new user’s information (fields marked with * are required)
  3. If you do not a choose a password, one will automatically be generated
  4. Set the new user’s access level
  5. Assign project room(s)
  6. Click Save
  7. A new user notification with system access information is sent to the new user

Deleting a user

People with administrator access can delete any user, but people with producer access can only delete users that they have created.

  1. Select Users > Browse Users
  2. Click on the delete button (-) in the browse users table
  3. Confirm that you want to remove the user from the system when prompted
  4. Users designated as project managers cannot be deleted until a replacement project manager is designated.  In Library, any presentations saved to the deleted users "My presentations" will no longer be accessible.
