At this stage, you have already uploaded the content you would like to see in your library. The pending files queue is the place to individually upload content or move it to the batch assigner for bulk updates to multiple files and the correct metadata and keywords in as little time as possible. Doing this properly will help with using powerful search options to filter the data you are looking for and show presentation views the information they need to know about the various spots and presentation.
Note: If you have not done so already please review our uploads article to get your content into the pending files queue.
Updating Individual Assets
- Select Library > Pending Files from the main navigation menu.
- Select the file name you would like to edit
- On the right-hand side, you will see a box load with the files information.
From here you can update:
- Title: The name of the file in Wiredrive. Can stay the same as the file name or can be changed to something more searchable.
- Active Status: Whether you want this item to be visible to all users in the library once saved.
- Featured Status: Whether you want to have the item in the featured list that will show by default on loading of the library section if selected.
- Date Completed: If you would like users to know the date the piece of content was completed and ready to use.
- Replace Thumbnail (640 x 480): Wiredrive will auto-generate a thumbnail for supported content types but if your content has a thumbnail you do not like or does not have a thumbnail you can upload one here. We suggest doing this after you have updated everything else related to the file.
- Replace File: In some cases, you may notice you did not upload the right version of the file. This will allow you to upload a new file without having to go back to the upload page. We suggest doing this after you have updated everything else related to the file.
- Categories: Categories should be created prior to starting your uploads or saving files to make sure you have all the categories you need to assign to your assets. If your category is already present but you need another tag option simply hit the [+] button to add a new tag.
Once you have updated the file. Simply click save to publish to the library.

- * At this point, select all files you want to assign the available selection to. This must be done to properly save these updates to the assets.
- Title: The name of the file in Wiredrive. Can stay the same as the file name or can be changed to something more searchable.
- Client: Client is a Wiredrive default value you can choose to use or leave blank if no tag values have been assigned.
**Once files are saved to the Library you will not be able to mass update assets. You will need to update each asset individually or re-upload assets to assign them to new metadata in bulk.
Once you have updated this batch of files. Simply click save to publish to the library.
